2018 has flown by, and with the end of the year in sight, we are turning our thoughts towards our lovely 2019 couples, with Lily Houston Design HQ's predictions for next year's wedding trends!
Splashes of colour in your wedding has been a growing trend for a few years now, with burnt orange bouquets and scarlet detailing becoming super popular.
If you want to go all out and inject some real colour into your wedding day, our favourite trend for 2019 is confetti! Whether you choose an accent from your colour scheme or go for all-out rainbow hues, brightly coloured confetti makes for the most incredible post-ceremony pictures!
We all know somebody who has managed to find the holy grail of a wedding dress with pockets, but it is now officially a trend. 2019/20 brides rejoice; pockets are in and they are here to stay! Designers are increasingly recognising brides' need for somewhere to put their lipstick, a pack of tissues, or even a camera, while not wanting a bag in the photos. So, problem solved: now you can have pockets while still looking like a queen!
Check out Caroline Castigliano for a LOT of pocket options!
Low florals and greenery
Grand centrepieces look stunning, but they can interrupt the flow of conversation over dinner. The new trend is towards low level greenery on tables, making it super easy to catch up with old friends (or meet new ones!) across the table.
Fresh, simple designs with a large amount of foliage are perfect whatever your style and colour scheme.
We've had rose gold and copper, and now the warm gold metallics are moving towards a more bronze palette. From stationery to table decorations and even hair accessories, bronze fits perfectly with any season!
Cheese wedding cakes
We've said it before, and we'll say it again: you cannot beat a cheese wedding cake! 2019 brides seem to agree, as our friends at The Cotswold Cheese Company have seen a huge rise in orders for next year!
You can pop in and see them to discuss your favourite cheeses for a bespoke cake, or select one of their carefully curated options online!
We always love to hear from you; let us know your favourite wedding trends for 2019 in the comments below! Love, Lily x
