Blushing Brides: Pretty In Pink!

From muted nudes to fuchsia and cerise, there's no escaping that pink makes for a gorgeous wedding colour. With Spring almost upon us, here at Lily Houston Design we are celebrating all things pink!

Blush & Nude
One of our favourite trends of the last few seasons is blush wedding gowns. Whether you opt for the most delicate flush in an underskirt, or go the whole hog in a definitively pink dress, adding colour is a sure way to stand out on your Big Day! Blush and nude dresses look like a huge trend for Autumn/Winter 2018, with plenty seen on the catwalks of Lazaro and Naeem Khan amongst others!

If you're sticking to a traditional white or ivory gown, but still want to add blush or nude tones, shoes and bags are the perfect way to accessorise!

Opal Blush, also Rachel Simpson is a peachy blush and absolutely perfect for spring/summer weddings. It's super soft suede too, and has a very useful optional strap!
Rose Gold

Rose Gold is huge for weddings, and here to stay! A softer version of copper (also a very popular wedding hue!) or a blend of pinks with gold, Rose Gold is perfect for everything from place settings to Tiaras, making it super fun and easy to theme.

Forget what you think you know about 'Barbie Pink.' If you love this palette but don't think it can fit with a wedding, it really can! The trick with any strong colour is to use it sparingly for colour pops and accents, like bridesmaid dresses, chair cover bows, and as part of your flower arrangements. Bright colours work especially well on soft fabrics like chiffon and tulle.

Dusky Rose
Rose hues are ever popular, because they are just so sophisticated and easy to use! At Lily Houston Design, we love dusky rose shades for a classic yet modern look.

Dusky Rose works especially well for bridesmaid dresses and flowers, but for a fun twist why not try an ombre cake design with rose tones too!

Don't forget the men!
Pink is certainly not just for the ladies in your wedding party, and pink accents on grooms, groomsmen and ushers are a great way to pick up your colour scheme!

Whether you choose pops of colour or pink everywhere, there's no better way to welcome in Spring weddings!
